Daher el Sawan Municipality

Daher El Sawan (ضهر الصوان), nestled in the Metn district of Mount Lebanon at an altitude of around 920 m, derives its name from the abundance of flint (‘souane’) found locally.  This small, exclusively Christian village is known for its historic Bhannes Hospital, originally a sanatorium founded in 1907 and managed by the Daughters of Charity
